CAMBRIDGE DICTIONARY
Change/Decision/Choice/Peace/Love Makers: This is a workshop for you to play, explore, think, and finally MAKE THEATRE!
Make friends / Make a scene / Make room / Make up / Make the difference / Make a gift / Make a toast / Make time / Make a wish / Make suggestions/ Make a decision / Make mistakes / Make up for it / Make changes / Make noise / Make it happen / Make peace / Make love / Make a dream come true.
Each session is a new way to make theatre happen in the space, starting from a new English expression to explore, our initial spark.
Each time, different members of Fucine Zamenhof will take you a step further on your journey, sharing their specific expertise and opening a window onto new possibilities.
From impro fun to physical theatre building blocks, from character development to script analysis, from chorus and ensemble work to devising. We will make your journey as varied and rich as possible!
Fucine Zamenhof first got together in their headquarters in Via L. L. Zamenhof (Murri, Bologna). We later found out that Zamenhof was also the real name of the so-called Dr. Esperanto. This visionary Polish man invented Esperanto in 1887, a utopian international language transcending borders and language barriers. We fell in love with the idea that people can interact across language barriers, without linguistic hierarchies.
Unfortunately, Esperanto didnโt make it to become a widespread global language, but we will make an experiment: we will run the workshop in English to bridge any verbal language gaps, and we will use the universal language of theatre for anything else.
No need to be fluent in English, just come along. You might make mistakes, but you will also make progress.
